About Emily Eaton

My 25-year career has been dedicated to finding that sweet spot where creativity meets business success.

After earning a BFA in Graphic Design from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, I spent 20 years as a pioneer in the interactive communications industry — designing the very first websites for companies like Northwest Airlines (now Delta), Marvin Windows, and Ecolab.
After several successful years working at the leading graphic design and interactive firms in the Twin Cities, I launched my first solo business as a website and usability consultant for large companies in June of 2000. I was also hand-picked to be a founding board member of the Minnesota Interactive Marketing (MIMA), where I served for five years as a board member and Vice President.
In 2005, I recruited my husband John Golden to join my business. We re-branded as “EatonGolden,” which grew to employ over 12 people and was well-known as the Twin Cities’ leading interactive/user experience consulting firm. We co-lead EatonGolden together until 2013, when I resigned from the business to pursue other passions. To this day, John still leads the business, which is now called Crux Collaborative.
Today I continue to strive to make the web a better place. And when I’m not doing that, I’m making art for myself and others.
Emily lives in Minneapolis with her husband of 25 years, and their 20-year-old son Oscar. Find Emily Eaton on LinkedIn and Facebook, and follow her personal Instagram feed and her art Instagram feed.
